Beautiful place, easy hike (friendly for seniors too), and nice staff. Visited the first time with my mom recently and we loved our time there.

Really great way to spend a few hours in Santa Barbara. Walking paths ranging from easily accessible by disabled to dirt and rocks Lots of stuff for the kiddos and dog friendly.

Unlike anything we’ve seen on the East Coast β€” truly beautiful gardens with very cool creeks and towering redwoods. They also had some really creative and thoughtful activations for children, which was great to see. The walking paths were decent and made it easy to explore different areas. We would have loved to visit on a day with a Japanese tea ceremony, but unfortunately, we only got to see the tea house from the outside. Special shout-out to the lady at the entrance who gave us an introduction to the map β€” I didn’t catch her name, but she did a fantastic job and made us feel very welcome!

Magical place! Saw so many things! The stinkhorn mushrooms were everywhere! Look like aliens. I grew up in Northern California so loved the redwood forest :) love all the natives. Don’t miss out on the pollinator garden. Smell the wild ginger!

Many acres of beautiful gardens! It’s one (might be the only one I think!) of the only botanical gardens that have all Southern Californian native plants and flowers! The staff is so amazingly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! It definitely a stop on your visit to Santa Barbara! It’s a real hidden gem! You can even purchase native plants in their adorable little nursery!
